Collin has been scribbling poems since he was a child, but in his late
20s he discovered haiku through the works of writers such as
Jack Kerouac and Richard Wright. He has been lucky enough to have some of his poems published in a few journals, and he feels even luckier that he has been able to make a few friends along the way.
His work has appeared and/or is forthcoming in Acorn, bottle rockets, Chrysanthemum, Clouds Peak, Frogpond, The Heron's Nest, Modern Haiku, Roadrunner, Simply Haiku, Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, Ash Moon Anthology, Eucalypt, moonset, Ribbons, Tanka Splendor Awards, Haigaonline, Contemporary Haibun, Contemporary Haibun Online, Magnapoets, and The Red Moon Anthology (2006, 2007). He is also one of the poets featured in A New Resonance 5: Emerging Voices in English Language Haiku.
